Albuquerque Museum is an art and history museum in Old Town Albuquerque. The museum was created in 1967 and contains over 400 years of local history including early maps of the area and Spanish conquistador armor. 

Guests can see thousands of painting and sculptures including pieces from Georgia O’Keefe and Ernest L. Blumenschein. The museum’s permeant art exbibits is called Common Ground: Art in New Mexico. Albuquerque Museum’s sculpture garden holds 50 works of art, and many of the artist are from New Mexico or the Southwest. 

The Rio Grande Nature Center State Park is a 38-acre wildlife preserve beside the Rio Grande River. Visitors can experience the beautiful riverside forest and learn more about the local flora and fauna. The nature center was built in 1982, and it was designed to blend unobtrusively into the environment. 

There are more than 300 kinds of birds that visit the park including Sandhill cranes and hummingbirds. The park service hosts guided bird walks. Hikers can enjoy the trails through the fields featuring Frémont’s cottonwood. 

This neighborhood in Albuquerque is the oldest part of the city and is overflowing with life and charm! Most of the buildings are over 100 years old, and San Felipe de Neri Church was built in 1793. Old Town Plaza is the center of the historic district.
